The ECL to RS-485 Translator Module will exists as a double width NIM
module, and has been primarily designed to simultaneuosly convert 16
bits of differential ECL signals into RS-485 signal levels while
converting another 16 bits of RS485 signlas into differential ECL
levels.
As an added feature, the first four bits of either translator circut are brought to front panel Lemo connectors as open collector TTL signals. These signals are both input and output capable, providing added flexability. Because the circuitry converts all signals to totem-pole TTL in an intermediate conversion process, on board post headers may be used to effect a translation from either differential ECL or RS-485 to TTL, as well as from TTL to ECL or RS-485.
