The Jorway Model 11A Extender Module is a single width CAMAC module used to extend a module to the front of the crate for ser- vicing. The module contains fused supplies of 1 Amp for + and - 24 volts and 2 Amp for + and - 6 volts, to protect module power supply and extender. The Model 11A has protective side covers protecting the extender board. The extender module printed cir- cuit board provides a ground land between each signal conductor. Further the signal line on one side of the printed circuit board lies opposite a ground land. This layout helps reduce crosstalk between the long lines of the extender module.
The printed circuit connector at front of tile extender module provides access to a small exposed area in which a signal can be probed during servicing. A cover plate legend lists the pin num- bers as well as the CAMAC function for both normal and control stations.
The printed circuit board receptacle is extended sufficiently from the Model 11A front panel to allow a 52 pin double density connector to be plugged on the rear of an extended module.
Extender modules can be placed side by side for multiple width modules.
option 1 for the Model 11A Extender provides a bottom rail guide extending approximately 7.5 inches from the connector. This guide helps in supporting a module during servicing.
