GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Low-cost - high performance amplifier employing pole-zero
cancelled RC shaping and intended for use with scintillation,
proportional and solid state detectors.

A complete line of matching preamplifiers and probe assemblies
provide "Maximized Value" experimentally tailored systems.

Pulse shaping is accomplished by passive RC networks employing
plug-in components to facilitate altering, shaping time constants
to suit experimental requirements. These shaping networks are:
1. Pole zero cancelled 1st differentiator.
2. Double Integrator with front panel In-Out Selection
and gain normalization.
3. 2nd Differentiator with front panel In-Out Selection.

Maximum Amplifier Gain is 512 with Coarse Gain control in
binary steps from 16 to 512. Fine Gain control provides a
gain control range from 0.4 to 1.

7 pin hex connector (female) rear panel only provides +/- 24 volt, +/- 12 volt and signal input interconnection for those MTN pre-amps (and others) requiring one or more of these standard voltages.

Outputs:

BNC connectors duplicated front & rear provide dual 93 ohms +/- 1% outputs, D.C. coupled with less than 0.3 ohms common source impedance.

Coarse Gain:

Front panel rotary switch provides gain factors of 16 thru 512 in 6 steps.

Fine Gain:

Front panel single turn control provides 0.4 to 1.0 continuous control.

Nor-Inv:

Front panel toggle switch provides output polarity selection.

Integ:

Front panel toggle switch provides Gaussian (In) or fast rise (Out).

Clip 2:

Front panel toggle switch provides unipolar or bipolar shaping.
