The SA-H279 is a rackmount expansion cabinet for hard disk and removable media drive expansion. It supports up to eight full-height 5-1/4" SCSI devices, four of which may be removable media. Each drive is mounted on a bracket that vertically fits into the chassis. A grooved mounting plate holds each drive to its respective position. The chassis includes two 300 watt power supplies and all internal power harnesses.
The SA-H279 is available with IEEE, DB50 or mini SCSI connector cutouts on the rear I/O panel. One I/O panel is provided with a total of four connectors. The rear panel also includes two fans, the SCSI ID cutouts, and the AC input plug. All internal power cables are provided.
The SA-H279 features cooling vents on the front panel for front to rear air flow. One front bezel version provides media access for four of the installed drives. Air vents, the ON/OFF switch and an LED power indicator are all located on the front bezel.
The rear area of the interior of the chassis is dedicated to housing the power supplies. Two supplies are utilized for maximum performance output. The 300 watt supplies provide +5 VDC at 25 amps, +12 VDC at 14 amps, -5 VDC at 0.5 amps and -12 VDC at 0.5 amps. Two fans are located in the power supply area and provide cooling for the supplies.
Installation: Installs in a 19" RETMA rack. Allow room at the rear of
the chassis for fan exhaust and cable egress.
