Standard Engineering 750 CAMAC Power Supply

The Optima 750 CAMAC Power Supply is designed for use with the CAMAC Modular Instrumentation and Interfacing System for Data Handling. The Optima 750 is comprised of three basic units: the crate, the power supply, and the blower drawer. Except as specified herein, the physical and electrical specification of the Optima 750 meet or exceed the requirements of a Type CP-1 Power Supply and ESONE Report EUR 4100e.

The construction features includes use of steel and precision cast aluminum upper and lower racks to provide a heavy duty crate assembly capable of long, trouble-free use. In addition, highest quality components are employed throughout to assure high operation reliability. The power supply's modular construction provides ease of maintenance and minimum downtime.

The precision construction of the crate allows insertion and removal of CAMAC modules with the power supply "ON" allowing minimum downtime during replacement of a defective CAMAC module.

All outputs of the power supply are protected for both overvoltage and overcurrent. No damage to the power supply will result in the event of a continuous short circuit condition. A thermal warning and thermal cut-off switch protect the power supply in the event the internal temperature exceeds a safe limit.

Optional features include 1) +/-12 volt output, 2) a voltage monitor which provides a status bit in case any of the output voltage deviate from normal output level, 3) 100VAC or 230VAC operation.
